Collins believes music is universal; he however, stresses that the heart is what makes the Music. He also believes that worship is not a fast or slow song, praise is not an up-tempo song or medium groove song but it is the agreement of your heart with the truth of God’s word that you lift up as an offering to the Almighty
No matter how well you sing or the choice of song, worship does not become worship until God responds to it. When God responds, you have an opportunity to be as Paul says in Phil 3:10 “that I may know him and the power of his resurrection and the fellowship of his (presence) Sufferings”. Amplified version says “[For my determined purpose is] that I may know Him, [that I may progressively become more deeply and intimately acquainted with Him, perceiving and recognizing and understanding the wonders of His person more strongly and more clearly], and that I may in that same way come to know the power out flowing from His resurrection [which it exerts over believers], and that I may so share His sufferings as to be continually transformed [in spirit into His likeness even] to His death, [in the hope]”.
Recently Collins released a single (God of wonders) Still standing on the promise in 2019, and at the moment he is preparing to record and release another album in 2020.
